Buying Guide

How to Browse Items

Browse all available items in the Marketplace. Use filters to narrow down by category, size, brand, or price range.

Click on any item to see detailed photos (including AI-enhanced images), descriptions, and seller information.

Making Offers

Minimum Offer Amount

All offers must be at least 70% of the asking price. Offers below this threshold will be automatically rejected.

Submitting an Offer

  1. Click "Make an Offer" on the item page
  2. Enter your offer amount (must be ≥70% of asking price)
  3. Submit your offer
  4. You'll receive a notification when the seller responds

Binding Commitment

Important: When you submit an offer, you're making a binding commitment to purchase if the seller accepts. You cannot withdraw an accepted offer.

Seller Response Options

The seller has 24 hours to:

  • Accept: You'll be redirected to payment immediately
  • Decline: You'll receive a notification
  • Counter-offer: You'll have 24 hours to accept or decline
  • No response: The offer automatically expires after 24 hours

Payment

Payment Window

You must complete payment within 24 hours after:

  • Your offer is accepted by the seller, OR
  • You accept a counter-offer

If payment is not completed within this window, the offer is voided and the item returns to the marketplace.

Payment Methods

We accept all major payment methods through Mollie and Stripe:

  • Credit and debit cards
  • iDEAL (Netherlands)
  • Bancontact (Belgium)
  • Other local payment methods

Buyer Protection

Your payment is held in escrow until:

  1. You collect the item from the drop-off point
  2. The 2-day complaint period expires without valid SNAD claims

Only then is the payment released to the seller.

Picking Up Your Item

Pickup Process

  1. Wait for notification that your item is ready for pickup
  2. You have 4 business days to collect the item
  3. Visit the designated drop-off point
  4. Show your pickup code to the local ambassador
  5. Inspect the item before leaving

Inspection at Pickup

Important: Carefully inspect the item before leaving the drop-off point:

  • Check that it matches the description
  • Verify the size, brand, and color
  • Look for any damage or defects not mentioned
  • Compare to the original photos (not just AI-enhanced images)

If Something Goes Wrong

Significantly Not As Described (SNAD)

You can report an item as SNAD if it is:

  • A different size than stated
  • A different brand than stated
  • A different color than stated
  • A different condition than stated
  • A different type of item than stated
  • Non-authentic (counterfeit)

Filing a Complaint

You have 2 calendar days after pickup to file a complaint:

  1. Go to your transaction history
  2. Submit a complaint via the online form
  3. Provide photos and evidence
  4. Blaire will review and determine if a refund is warranted

When You're NOT Eligible for a Refund

  • Blaire determines the item is not SNAD
  • Insufficient proof is provided
  • You previously confirmed the item was in good condition
  • The complaint is submitted after the 2-day period
  • The item has been used, washed, altered, or modified

Buyer Fees

As a buyer, you pay the item price plus a small protection fee:

  • Item price: Set by the seller (100% goes to them)
  • Buyer protection fee: 8% + €1.50
  • This fee covers payment processing and buyer protection

For example, on a €20 item, you pay €23.10 total (€20 + €3.10 protection fee). The seller receives the full €20. All fees are clearly displayed before payment.

Tips for Successful Buying

  • Base your decision on the original photos, not just AI-enhanced images
  • Read the full item description carefully
  • Check the seller's rating and reviews
  • Make fair offers - lowball offers below 70% won't be accepted
  • Inspect items thoroughly at pickup
  • Report issues within 2 days if something is wrong
  • Complete payment within 24 hours to secure your item
